First week at daycare

On Monday Brenna started at daycare! She is going to Lil' People's World in North Seattle and so far it is going great. We started this week so we could transition her (and us) into our new routine. Pat will be taking her in the morning and I'll be picking her up in the afternoons. Here are a few pictures from the first day.

The first two days we just took Brenna for half days so she can adjust to the new schedule and I could still spend the afternoons with her. Here we are Monday afternoon, very excited to be reunited!!

Wednesday and Thursday I went into work to get things set to start teaching again on Monday. It felt great to be at work and getting back into the swing of things at Holy Names. Wednesday night Brenna was super tired because she didn't nap very long at school. It was a bummer to come home with her and then have her nap most of the evening. But, Thursday she did a bit better and I'm hoping that trend continues.

Last night we were also so excited that Brenna only woke up once to eat! The past month she's been eating 2 or 3 times a night (yes, she had been waking up only 1 time before that!), so we are really hoping one wake up will continue. We'll see, it is all a big guessing game!

Overall it feels great to know we are making the right decision as I head back to work even though the transition will be hard. It is also great to know I go back for 2 months and then am home again for 2 months over the summer!!
