Skype with Dad

Brenna enjoys FaceTime with her Grandma Ann and Grandpa Bill each weekend, and today we got to Skype with Dad. Pat is in Washington DC for a conference and Brenna and I are headed out there to meet him on Saturday. Brenna was pretty excited to see her dad just now :)

Recent milestones

Brenna has definitely been reaching more and more exciting milestones recently. She (finally!) slept through the night a few times. No more night time feedings! Even if she does wake up we let her figure it out and she usually falls back asleep the one exception is if she rolls over into her tummy; then she flips out and we help her roll back over :)

Brenna has been trying more and more food. She loves rice cereal and bananas. She is okay with tofu and peas, and did not like sweet potatoes. 

Brenna can now sit up on her own for short periods of time. She just started one day out at the beach.

One sad milestone was that Brenna got pink eye :( Thankfully her eye drops worked great and it went away fast!

Brenna is getting very close to crawling! It will be here any day now...so will Babyproofing our apartment! It's fun to be home with her and see so many milestones. She doesn't start daycare until August 1st so we have lots of time to hang out each day until then!

 

B-r-e-n-n-a at the Bank

Grandma Sue sings a song to all the grandkids, to the tune of Bingo, but she spells their names in the song. Brenna LOVES this song! The other week when I walk talking to my mom I put her on speaker phone and she sang the song to Brenna and Brenna's face lit up and she had a huge smile! Pat and I both find ourselves singing the song to Brenna often because she loves it so much.

So, yesterday I took Brenna with me to get her a bank account. She had gotten her first check from Grandma Ann and Grandpa Bill for her baptism, so it was great motivation for me to get her a savings account. As we were sitting at the desk working with the banker, Brenna was being her cute self--smiling and playing with her pacifier. At one point I'm holding Brenna up so she is standing on my lap and the banker asks me, "How do you spell her name?" I begin, "B-r-e" and Brenna gets a huge smile on her face and starts jumping up and down. Laughing, I continue, "n-n-a." Then I add, "She loves it when we spell her name."

It was so cute, and so funny!! And now I have the song in my head again :)

6th Month Photos

Brenna had a bit of a cold on Thursday, her half birthday, so we waited a few days to take these pictures. Thankfully she is back to her happy, healthy self, minus a lingering cough. 

At her appointment everything checked out great. She is 34% for weight, 38% for height, and 99% for head size :) They once again had to remeasure her head because they didn't believe it was so big!

We had lots of outtakes of our busy little girl this month!
